Rev. Abraham Park (1928–2014) devoted his entire life to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. His life was firmly anchored upon the twin pillars of the Christian faith: the Word of God and prayer. He read the Bible from cover to cover more than 1,800 times, immersing himself daily in its living truth.

Throughout his ministry, this pastor–theologian spent over five hours each day reading Scripture and more than three hours in prayer, faithfully seeking the heart and will of God. In 2007, Rev. Park celebrated the 50th Jubilee of his ministry—a golden milestone marking five decades of unwavering devotion to the Lord and His church.

From a wounded veteran...

In 1958, Rev. Abraham Park began his ministry at Dongmasan Church—
as a wounded veteran, bearing the scars of gunshot wounds
from the Korean War.

From pain, a calling was born.

"To Die Is to Live"

Holding fast to the conviction that
“to die is to live,”
he ascended the mountains to pray—
47 days on Mt. Jang-an,
and 3 years, 6 months, and 7 days on Mt. Jiri.

There, in solitude, his life was laid down before God.

Guided by the Holy Spirit

When the sun set, he prayed without ceasing.
When the sun rose, he opened the Scriptures.
Day after day, night after night.

Then at last—a single ray of grace broke through.
By the powerful illumination of the Holy Spirit,
the Word of God unfolded before him,
scene by scene, like a vast and living panorama.

Manuscripts on Leaves

He wrote what he saw upon broad arrowroot leaves,
binding them together with a simple twig.

Every few months, he descended to a small village

beneath the mountain to purchase paper,
carefully transcribing the revelations he had received.

Thus began The History of Redemption Series.

Committed to the Inerrancy of the Bible

Rev. Park was known throughout the Korean Christian community
as a true pastor—steadfast in his commitment
to the inerrancy of the Bible and to conservative theology.

On December 17, 2014, he departed from this world
and returned to the bosom of God.

His voice grew quiet, but the Word he proclaimed continues to speak.
